Surrender

A single touch is all it takes
To numb ones soul of grave mistakes

One slight endearment- deep yet small
One flicker of colour to shame them all

Here and now in this embrace
There and then- upon your face

To be beside you flawed and scarred
To be naked before you without such guard

Beneath the rhythm, below the pain
Its so commonly different that its almost the same

Somehow in his madness I see in the dark
This gift owed to the daylight- the indelible spark

One day, out of darkness, she will come to the light
One day when the darkness is due only to night

Touch me deep below my skin

But I cannot say or even begin
To imagine where that will take you...

Here and now above the ground
I am taken back by what I've found
Because here the silence is so loud
Yet I can't hear a thing...

I'm lost and can't figure what to do
With such conflicting thoughts and feelings for you
In all of the lies only you ring true
To the madness that I've become...

Breathless

Little by little it slips away
So mildly but so quickly
Your face smiles before me and I can't feel my feet
My lips go numb and my legs start to shake
As you open your arms to embrace me
Frozen in this trance I hide my shaking hands behind my back
They're no match for the heartbeat that thumps incessantly at my chest
Those eyes
That smile
The tips of your fingers on my skin
It sends me to another world and I am lost
Spinning wildly, blindly out of control
Until you let me go and say goodbye
And reality says hello-
It is then that I remember to breathe....

MAY 12th

Winter makes me think of the harder times we had. The confusion. The frustration. The secrets. It makes me miss you in a thousand other ways because of the sadness I had back then.

And now.. I have you and I don't have you.. But the parts of you I do have are so beautiful I want to bottle them up and keep them forever. I often wonder what my life would have been like if we'd never started this- if we'd never met.... But I can't.. It is inconceivable to believe there is a world you are not a part of...

Winter only makes me wonder how I survived so long without you.....
